Gigabit Ethernet Access Switch  

Signamax Connectivity Systems’ 065-7732 Gigabit Ethernet Access Switch is the cornerstone of the  Signamax Ethernet switch product line. It is capable of two optional Gigabit Ethernet connections, and  it is a fully functional SNMP-managed 24-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet and Standard Ethernet switch as well.

The two optional Gigabit Ethernet ports permit easy interconnection of these switches at Gigabit speeds, creating a Gigabit Ethernet backbone network with 24 10/100 ports per switch for workstation and  server connectivity. SNMP, Web-browser, local terminal connection and Telnet remote terminal management  capabilities are included. All of these management capabilities can be used simultaneously with real time  updating.

Standards supported include IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), to provide fault tolerance;  IEEE 802.1p Class of Service (CoS) support, to prioritize network traffic for video, voice, images, and data; IEEE 802.1Q VLAN support, for network segmentation and traffic control across multiple switches; and  GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP), to ease VLAN configuration concerns. And, it will communicate with network management systems such as HP OpenView™ to provide SNMP-based information exchange for enterprise-wide status display, statistical monitoring, and switch control.
