Overview

Signamax Connectivity Systems' 065-7940B-WS 24-port WebSmart switch supports powerful web-based management features for a fraction of the cost of an SNMP-managed switch. The 065-7940B-WS provides non-blocking performance for 24 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet connections, along with modern QoS and Tagged VLAN capabilities. Four Dual Media Gigabit Ethernet ports use auto-detected SFP modules for fiber optic switch interconnection at extended distances. The web browser based management package is complete and comprehensive, with abilities rivaling those usually found only in SNMP-managed switches, such as port mirroring, IEEE 802.1p QoS administration, and IEEE 802.1Q tagged VLAN administration. The Signamax 065-7940B-WS switch provides a feature-rich, cost-effective alternative to a SNMP-managed switch in many applications.

** Maximum distances attainable on multimode Gigabit Ethernet fiber circuits are primarily dependent upon multimode distor-tion, also known as modal dispersion. Larger aperture fiber optic cable allows more modes to be generated at the launch point; these modes cause the pulse width to spread across a Gigabit Ethernet bit time interval to a point where accurate determination of data (i.e., ones and zeroes) is not possible. These are physical properties that are not specific to this product. These proper-ties also apply to competing products operating in the same frequency spectrum over multimode fiber cable having the same modal bandwidth.
