Overview

Signamax Connectivity Systems' 065-1063 series of RS-232/422/485 serial data to Ethernet device servers / media converters are the perfect answer to the problem of integrating serial data devices into a convergent Ethernet-based network. They accept serial data on one port in both RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 format and convert the serial data stream into Ethernet/Fast Ethernet framed and formatted packets. These packets can then be transported across an Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, or Gigabit Ethernet network to either a server or another 065-1063x series converter, which reconstructs the Ethernet packets into the original serial data bit stream. Use the 065-1063T to connect serial data devices to your Ethernet / Fast Ethernet network over twisted-pair cable. For longer distance extension to the network's core, the 065-1063FSx series connects serial data devices to your Fast Ethernet 100BaseFX network at distances up to 30 kilometers (over 18.6 miles).
